About Me
I have a master's degree (MA) in counseling psychology from Pacific University, and a doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University. My background includes experience working in Human Resources, where I focused on employee concerns in the workplace. This experience translates into my private practice, where I am able to help my clients work through related issues, such as work/life balance, finding a meaningful career or life path, or helping clients learn effective communication skills. I have also worked in community mental health with a diverse client population of adults and adolescents, who were struggling with issues such as, depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, and social phobia.
I use cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and EMDR therapies. My goal is to create a trusting atmosphere, where my clients feel comfortable and empowered to make changes in their lives. I seek to create a collaborative atmosphere, where we can work together to form an approach to therapy that is comfortable and effective.
I am an individual therapist in Portland, Oregon. My specialties include working with adults who are struggling with a variety of issues, ranging from anxiety, insomnia, depression, and "existential angst".
I have completed the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE), and maintain registration as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
